Littlemill Testament – A Legacy Preserved in Wood
The Littlemill Testament release is a tribute to Scotland’s oldest licensed distillery, showcasing rare whiskies that have been maturing since 1976.
This release celebrates Littlemill’s storied history, marking a significant chapter in the legacy of one of the most revered names in Scotch whisky. With only 250 bottles produced, each encased in a bespoke wooden box, the Testament release represents more than just whisky; it encapsulates a piece of history. Our role was to craft these luxury boxes in collaboration with the creative vision set forth by PRC (Pocket Rocket Creative) and the team at Loch Lomond, ensuring that every detail complemented the exceptional quality of the whisky.

Design Collaboration and Craftsmanship
The concept and design of the Littlemill Testament boxes were conceived by the talented team at PRC, whose innovative approach brought a fresh and sophisticated aesthetic to the project. We worked closely with PRC and Loch Lomond, contributing our materials expertise and knowledge of manufacturing to bring their vision to life.
Using our deep understanding of sustainable materials, we crafted the box carcasses from a high-quality, eco-friendly engineered wood made from recycled wood fibres and mill waste. This choice supported sustainability efforts by reducing reliance on virgin wood and minimising carbon emissions. The panels are dyed with organic, non-toxic colours, providing both environmental benefits and a luxurious, uniform appearance throughout.
Luxury Detailing and Unique Features
Every detail of the box was meticulously designed to enhance the presentation of the Littlemill Testament whisky. The interiors were lined with premium vegan leather, adorned with a mix of print and etching to create a unique, luxurious finish. A narrative was engraved around the edges of the box walls, telling the story of Littlemill’s rich history.
A distinctive feature of the box design is the cutout at the front, which serves as a window showcasing a bespoke stopper for the decanter, crafted by Glencairn Crystal.
For the four special editions, the stoppers were made using materials salvaged from the original distillery site, adding a tangible connection to Littlemill’s past. These special editions were housed in luxury cabinets that included the decanter, the bespoke stopper, a beautifully bound book, and two antique glasses, each uniquely crafted.
Elevating Heritage Through Sustainable Craft and Innovation
This project exemplifies the harmonious blend of traditional craftsmanship, sustainable practices, and innovative design. By collaborating with PRC and the team at Loch Lomond to refine and develop their concept, we were able to bring a new and unique design to life that respects the heritage of Littlemill while meeting modern luxury standards.
Our expertise in materials and manufacturing ensured that the boxes not only protect and enhance the whisky but also serve as a lasting tribute to Littlemill’s legacy. Each box and cabinet is more than just a container; they are future antiques, crafted to preserve and celebrate the story of Littlemill for generations to come.
